The Parent Advisory Board of the TeensRemembered.org organization provides opportunities for leadership in public policy, research, education, and program development. The 12-member board also organizes and oversees the Teen Advisory Board that is utilized for peer review and input.
Board members include family and friends of teen victims, safety professionals, sponsors, and community leaders. They create a network of partners to address the goals of TeensRemembered.org, which include:
- Promoting technologically advanced driver education that reflects current educational and training methods
- Encourage expanded parental behind-the wheel experience that has been proven to be the most positive influence in crash reduction of teens
- Support educational safe teen driving programs and development of professional networks and coalitions on issues dealing with teen driving
- Develop driving safety public policy at the federal, state and local level with lawmakers and elected official (i.e., graduated licensing, etc.)
- Work with local law enforcement to encourage community safety programs
- Produce an “e-yearbook” for victims with links to personal websites
