Matthew Luke Davis who was born at Chanute AFB, Illinois on November 07, 1985 and passed away on November 02, 2005 (in Atlanta, Georgia) at the age of 19.

Matthew was the passenger in a head on car accident where the driver(another teen), was speeding/racing, he lost control of the vehicle around a bend, went into oncoming traffic and hit another head on. Matthew is the only one that didn't make it. We will remember him forever.

What can I tell you about my baby. Well, if you know him at all you know what his favorite past times were. #1 Basketball. Matthew spent the majority of his life on the basketball court beginning at age 5. His nickname was Michael Jordan. He was the most known unknown on the court! His next love was music and computers. If you didnt find Matt shooting hoops he was on the computer downloading music.

Matt's dream was to own his own barbershop and we were working towards that just before he passed away. He was a master with the clippers. My baby had so many talents, I just wish he had a chance to make his dreams come true.


I kept Matt pretty busy so he didnt really have a chance to get into anything out of line. He was just the best, although not perfect. I think I may have been too strict on him. But if it made him the 'good kid' that he was known to be then I did my job as a parent.

I've gotten so much positive feedback about my son that it is truly amazing. The worst that you'll get in a reputation about my son was that 'he was a good kid' and that he was. I was tough but it was worth every incident. I will miss my baby dearly but I suppose his time was simply over on this earth. He had done all he was to do. He left this earth on a high note and that is a beautiful thing!
