Patrick Greenan

Patrick graduated from Nevada Union High School in 2000. He was a very well-respected, loving, and caring young man. He dedicated his life to the Lord at an early age. He started a teen Bible Study Club at the high school which became very popular. They started each school day in prayer at the flagpole. He was in his 2nd year of Bible College when he passed. He planned to go into the youth ministry and work with teens.

Patrick was house sitting for his father. He and his fiance (Gaia) and another couple (Owen & Cierra) had dinner at the house to celebrate Cierra going away to college the next day. Patrick was a very responsible young man and was allowed to drive his father's 2001 Corvette. He and Owen had plans to take the Corvette into town to get gas, but Cierra wanted a ride, too. Patrick finally agreed to drive to the bridge. They never returned.

On the way back, they hit a couple of trees. The car was found upside down at the bottom of a steep embankment. Patrick's body/airbag had the horn going full blast. They both died instantly from blunt force trauma to the head. They were both 19.

We don't know what caused the car to leave the road. Most likely, he was going to fast around a curve and lost control - a victim of "It won't happen to me" syndrome....

These kids were fun-loving but NOT partyers! They were not, nor ever were, under the influence of anything! In my opinion, even though Patrick was so well-behaved and responsible, he was not experienced enough to have full access to a high performance car.

The sudden loss of my son shocked me into early menopause and clinical depression, two very physical reactions to emotional trauma. I wish someone had told me that was possible, because I fumbled around for 4 years before realizing I could get help.
